South Waikato News Presents:
A special edition in (ACB) 3-D
'Welcome to our District 2010'

South Waikato News Manager Paula Baxter set her sights on a 3-D publication in newsprint. Their annual 'Welcome to our District' liftout became New Zealand's 2nd ever 3-D newspaper. See Fairfax media article

South Waikato News Editor, Mathew Grocott took a crash course in 3-D Photography from Marc Dawson of Studio 555. He used two digital cameras on an alloy slide bar to capture 3-D stills and produced some excellent results. The views were aligned into stereoscopic pairs and were (ACB) processed into 3-D anaglyph images ready to print.
Seen here courtesy of the South Waikato News, is a selection from over 50 anaglyphs that were printed in their 24 page lift out edition including some of the 3-D ads.
