The Sunken Seat Garden Back to ‘The Semi Sunken Garden’

Imediately to the left of the Scenic Drive Parking Lot is an overlooked Sunken Garden. There is no formal mention of it, but it can be seen in the arial '55 view of the park. The Sunken Seat Garden was repaired by Friends of Memorial Park in early April 22. Ferns were transplaned, awaiting additional low maintenance ground cover etc. This took 10 hours over two weekends to complete thus far. Similar results can be achieved within other Sunken Gardens and memorial features.

Beside the steps was an example of Babbages 'Pockets in the Rocks' A maintenance design feature to limit Anual and Perenial Plots.
